Harewood set for Oakwell return

Marlon Harewood is currently training with Barnsley and will be trying to convince Keith Hill to offer him a contract with the Reds.

Barnsley close to signing Mido

Former Tottenham and Middlesbrough striker Mido has emerged as one of Keith Hill’s key transfer targets of the Summer as the Barnsley boss rebuilds for another challenging season in the Championship.

News of Barnsley’s interest in the Egyptian international striker has already been picked up by the mainstream media and a deal to bring the 29-year-old to Oakwell would appear close.

Mido is currently a free-agent after leaving Egyptian Premier League club Zamalek and will be looking to reignite his career after a number of uninspiring seasons since his initial transfer to Middlesbrough. (more…)
