French midfielder Malaury Martin has left Oakwell after joining Barnsley on trial. The former Middlesbrough man was offered a contract by Keith Hill after impressing him in the Reds last few pre-season fixtures however Hill said that they were “poles apart” from agreeing a deal with the Barnsley boss seeing him a “too much of a risk” to have been offered better terms.
