Former Reds defender Jason Shackell has been the subject of transfer bids from several clubs according to his current employers, Derby County.
The highly-rated defender left Barnsley last summer after just a year at Oakwell. Whilst Derby would rather keep hold of a player who played every minute of every game for them last season, their chief-executive Tom Glick has hinted that they could sell Shackell if a significant bid comes in.
Derby paid over £1m to Barnsley to secure Shackell and it is thought that a sell-on clause was agreed between the two clubs at the time of the sale.
