Keith Hill has confirmed that rumoured moves for Kieran Tripper and Jon Parkin have no truth to them.
BarnsleyFC.com were made aware of this rumour a number of days ago but decided not to report on it due to the fact that it came from a consistently unreliable source. But this hasn’t stopped the mainstream media picking up on it.
After doing well last season, and appearing to have no future at Manchester City, it is no surprise that Trippier is being linked with a move back to Oakwell. Keith Hill has made it clear that he is not interested in any of Mark Robins loan signings after the likes of Marlon Harewood, open to a permanent move to Oakwell, were not considered.
Jon Parkin is of course Barnsley born, a former player and despite playing for clubs some way away from his home-town, he has always chosen to live in Barnsley. Parkin is thought to have been open to a move back to Oakwell for several years now, however he has never been serious target for any of Barnsley’s managers of that time.
